The Sounder Module enables users to harness a variety of advanced features intrinsic to the Furuno sounder system. This includes Sounder Echogram, Accu-Fish, and Bottom Discrimination functionalities. The seamless integration of these sophisticated features is facilitated by the Sounder Module's complete compatibility with Furuno Digital Filter (FDF™) fish finders.
It may be used with TZ Navigator and TZ Professional.
Sounder Echogram Display
Thanks to FURUNO's digital filter technology, the Echogram display enables Echo presentation with real-time A-Scope. Digital Filter (FDF™) fish finders have superior filtering capabilities and digital auto tuning, allowing you to locate individual fish with clarity, precision, and detail.
Historic data
TIMEZERO records up to 3 minutes approximately of sounder data. You may then quickly go back and find echoes that are of interest.
Geolocalization
The "Sounder and Nav" workspace may be used to view the plotter and sounder at the same time. When you move the mouse over the sounder, a red cross will appear on the chart, allowing you to geolocate any sounder "sweeps."
Add a mark
Double clicking on the sounder space creates an automated mark on the chart, making it quicker to return to a structure observed on the sounder.
Add event
When you choose the "Event tool" from the sounder workspace, a mark will be created on the chart at the current boat location.
Accu-Fish (Fish Size Analyzer)
Furuno Accu-Fish adds a one-of-a-kind fish size analyzer. The program analyzes echo returns to calculate individual fish sizes, which are then shown on the TIMEZERO Sounder workspace.
When the "Sounder and Nav" workspace is used to display the plotter and sounder side by side, every Accu-fish icon on the chart is automatically geo-located.
Bottom Discrimination Display
The Sounder workspace can display the bottom discrimination window. This information will assist you in locating rich fishing spots where you may increase your catch for the day.
Bottom components
Furuno Sounders BBDS1 and DFF1-UHD can classify the seabed into four states: mud, sand, gravel, and rock by examining the echo characteristics of the materials that make up the seafloor, such as particle size and hardness. In addition to supplying seabed information, they also communicate the probability of discrimination, which is presented on the bottom discrimination window, enabling you to know how accurate the data is in certain areas.
Bottom component localization
Moving the cursor over the bottom discrimination windows will automatically show the red cross cursor on the Chart, allowing to geolocate any bottom component.
Bottom hardness
When TIMEZERO receives sea floor hardness information from the BBDS1 or DFF1-UHD sounders, it may register it at the same time as the depth information. The bottom hardness can be shown using color coding or a black and white scale, ranging from the softest material, mud, to the hardest material, rock.
The Sounder Module is compatible with a wide range of FURUNO sounders.
The Sounder module, when connected directly to the echo sounder or through a NavNet device, unlocks a dedicated workspace for displaying and controlling FURUNO fish finders DFF1, DFF3, FCV1150, DFF1-UHD, DFF3-UFD, and BBDS1.
