S57 / S63 Charts Module
The S57/S63 Charts Module lets you upload your charts to the TZ Professional Software.
Every week, your official encrypted charts are updated.
S-63 charts are encrypted charts in the S-57 file format that adhere to all International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) standards. "S-63" refers to the encryption standard used to safeguard the charts.
International Standards
- S-63 charts adhere to the following Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) and Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS) standards.
- S-57 is the data format in which the charts are distributed and may be downloaded and shared to license holders.
- S-52 is the iconography standard under which all of the data presented on the charts appears. It guarantees that the charts look the same to everyone who uses them and in a consistent manner that does not vary from chart to chart.
- S-58 is the quality control standard that is used to verify the charts before they are released. These checks ensure that the charts will not cause a chart plotter malfunction and that there are no mapping, scaling, or other mistakes.

- S-63 charts are encrypted, ensuring that all information is reliable and has been certified by the International Maritime Organization.
- Only licensed owners can read S-63 charts. As a result, the encryption keeps them from being pirated.

- S-63 charts enhance Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and ensures the best security onboard by satisfying all relevant standards.
How to display S63 Charts on TZ Professional
To show S57 / S63 charts in TZ Professional, you must have acquired the S57 / S63 Charts Module.

- You need the S57 / S63 Charts Module in order to display the Charts* in the TZ Professional Software.
