The PBG Module for TZ Professional connects to your sounder and positioning system. It allows you to develop your own bathymetric database , providing you with stunning real-time 2D and 3D views of the seafloor. Read more..
The Bathy Recorder (also known as the "Personal Bathymetric Generator" or "PBG") for TZ Professional is the market's most innovative tool.
The PBG Module, allows you to capture the sea floor topographic information with your Sounder and save it in your personal 3D PBG database. When you utilize PBG, the 3D data will continually improve with repeat trips over the same places, giving you an accurate depiction of critical sea floor terrain as well as your favorite fishing sites.
TimeZero with PBG module allows you to display depth shading (color based on depth), custom contour lines with comprehensive density control, and a depth profile window in addition to presenting your data in 3D.
If you have a Sounder that can offer Bottom Classification, Backscatter, or Bottom Hardness, TimeZero will store this information along with the depth and display bottom hardness in color on the chart.
PBG may be performed with any single beam sounder (TimeZero just requires a depth value) or a multi-beam sounder such as the Furuno DFF-3D or WASSP system. The advantage of utilizing a multi-beam sounder like the DFF-3D or WASSP is that you can cover a much larger area and gather much more points much faster.
QUICK DATA RECORDING
The PBG Module enables you to create a good survey in less time. The 3D database updates in real time, so there is no need to wait or refresh the screen. The precision has also been increased; depth points are now stored in their actual place rather than in a grid.
All PBG data obtained with MaxSea v12 may, be easily transferred into the 3D Static database.
ADVANCED FILTERS
TIMEZERO PBG module develops and updates the 3D database in real-time, thus it is critical to filter the data that will be added to the database to prevent introducing values that may modify the PBG database.
TIMEZERO provides a number of powerful filters for creating the cleanest 3D database possible:
Note: When a depth value is rejected, a message in the notification bar describing the cause for the rejection is shown, and the information is saved in the alarm log.
DELETE TOOLS
A "Delete PBG" tool allows you to delete poor depth points by creating a free selection area around the point(s) you want to remove. The Undo/Redo function allows you to restore any PBG points you may have mistakenly erased.
BOTTOM DISCRIMINATION
When linked to a bottom discrimination sounder, the PBG Module allows TIMEZERO to record seabed information in addition to depth. TIMEZERO may then display Bottom Classification and Bottom Hardness on the chart using a color scale.
DATA RENDERING OPTIMIZATION
TIMEZERO provides 3 different 3D databases:
Each of these 3D databases may be activated or deactivated separately. When many options are chosen, TIMEZERO integrates them in real time on the screen, automatically picking the most accurate data available in that area.
DATA RENDERING OPTIMIZATION SETTINGS
Multiple settings allow you to customize the display based on the quality of the data in the database:
This innovative module allows you to change the overall "width" of PBG tracks, even while they are set to dynamic. Creating superior databases in less time allows for improved fishing in recognized regions (near to the rocks) as well as the discovery of new fishing sites.
