The Radar Module allows the TIMEZERO software to connect with FURUNO FAR radars and DRS antennas. It allows the radar image to be overlaid directly on the chart as well as take full control of the radar directly from a dedicated workspace. Read more..
A collaboration between TIMEZERO and FURUNO (the world's top maker of maritime electronics). TIMEZERO software is natively compatible (easy Ethernet connection) with all FURUNO DRS antennas and the commercial line of FURUNO FAR radars. To have a better understanding of the data, the radar image may be overlaid directly on the chart. TIMEZERO allows you to manage the radar directly from a specialized workspace (Gain, Seaclutter, Rainclutter, etc.).
It may also be added to the TZ Navigator and TZ Professional.

Overlay the Radar in TIMEZERO in real time on the chart
TIMEZERO may be linked to a Furuno NavNet network, providing complete control of the DRS radars (with or without a network MFD). This means you can view the radar picture directly in TIMEZERO program, have complete control over the radar from your software, and overlay the radar image on your charts. Radar overlay is a useful safety feature that allows you to see your surroundings in relation to your present location.
The Smart Radar mode discriminates radar echoes using vector chart information and AIS, letting you to focus on "unknown objects" to increase situational awareness. The goal is to enhance the discriminating of radar echoes created by uncharted or unknown objects (targets, uncharted impediments, etc.) by attenuating or masking (for land) radar echoes caused by land, for example, floating buoys/beacons.
The Furuno radar module is available as an add-on for the TZ Navigator and TZ Professional.
Furuno NavNet 3D and TZT (1st generation)
TZ Professional and TZ Navigator v4 can no longer synchronize marks and routes with NavNet3D and NavNet TZT (1st generation) via the network (including active route synchronization). It should be noted that TIMEZERO v4 will continue to offer Radar/Sounder compatibility and sensor data transmission across the network (Position, Speed, Heading, AIS...) between TIMEZERO v4 and NavNet3D and NavNet TZT (1st generation). If a TIMEZERO v4 user wants to communicate Route / Waypoint data with NavNet3D, the CSV file format (exchanging data via SD-Card) can be utilized. The TZD file format may be used to exchange data using NavNet TZT (1st version).
TIMEZERO v4 will only be able to synchronize with NavNet TZT2 after a firmware update of the MFD.
