Normally, a satellite compass ™ calculates the course using on baseline between two antennas.

Fellow competitors have a heading accuracy that fluctuates by +/- 5˚ with a quick update, which means that an echo track is indistinguishable and that is confusing.

The FURUNO SCX-21's four antennas system can calculate heading information using any of the six baselines between the four antennas. The design of the SCX-20 allows you to accurately calculate heading, pitch, roll and heave information.

The accuracy of the course improves the performance of your current onboard equipment such as Radar, Fish Finders, Sonar and Autopilots. The accurate heading information enables you to track a more accurate course, saving time, fuel and money on every trip;

• Connected to your Furuno radar, real echo tracks are easier to see. This helps enormously in determining the movements of your own ship and the movements of other ships around you. You get accurate speed and course data.
• Connected to your Fish Finder, the SCX-20 satellite compass ensures that you have accurate swell compensation so you can see a seabed without noice of waves. Caused by the condition of the sea. You will get a very good presentation on your NavNet TZtouch / TZtouch2 / or TZtouch3

The SCX-21 measures the boat's forward Y-axis speed over the ground like a normal GPS. But because the sensor also knows how the boat rolls, thumps and hoists - and because specifying the size and location of the boat is part of the installation process - it can also control left-right X-axis speeds on the bow and stern determine.

You can also set the SCX 21 to deliver 3-axis speed at the height you prefer, such as at your boat's waterline. This is very useful, for example, if you bump into a floating dock that is hard to see from the helm.

The SCX-21 is the perfect solution for complex ship installations where the view of satellites is sometimes obstructed.

On some vessels interference occurs caused by signal blockage this occurs when a Satellite Compass receives a signal from paths other than direct line of sight, such as when the view of satellites is obscured, or when the signal is reflected off of a bulkhead, mast, or other obstruction. The multipath phenomenon can significantly reduce the performance of Satellite Compasses and has been an ongoing issue for marine electronics installers .Because the SCX-21has four antennes this problem is reduced to a minimum / zero.
