The FCV-600 uses the power of TruEcho CHIRPTM in combination with several advanced identification technologies to clearly distinguish fish from other objects, such as the seabed or reefs. This means you can now fish more professionally than ever.
Traditional CW (Continuous Wave) fish finders provide a single frequency signal, but CHIRP fish finders send a linear frequency-modulated signal which, in other words, is a wave with a frequency that rises with time.
The FCV-600 may use a wide band transducer to broadcast across a wide frequency range, resulting in improved target resolution. You'll notice more detail and target separation for baitfish, game fish, and structure with Furuno's TruEcho CHIRPTM.
With the aid of the Fish Finder's Bottom Discrimination feature, you may find rich fishing sites and increase your daily catch by learning if the bottom is primarily made up of rocks, gravel, sand, or mud.
Furuno-exclusive technology called ACCU-FISHTM size assessment function instantly recognizes individual fish. Echo returns are analyzed based on strength and converted into fish size displays (10 to 199 cm, in depths of 2 to 100 m) on the screen to determine the size of each fish.
Furuno's ground-breaking REZBOOST™ signal processing technology enhances target separation and resolution when used with traditional CW narrow-band transducers. Locate individual game fish among bait balls and fish near the seafloor. With REZBOOST™, the ACCU-FISHTM feature will perform better and have greater resolution and clearer graphics.
Conventional narrowband transducers' capabilities can be significantly increased using RezBoostTM. A REZBOOST™ Fish Finder generates an image that is up to 8 times* sharper when compared to standard signal processing methods (FDF). It is quite amazing what can be accomplished with a typical narrow-band transducer, such as the one you may already have mounted on your boat.**
*Performance of REZBOOST™may change based on signal frequency, depth, and range.
** REZBOOST™capable thru-hull or transom mount transducer in Enhanced mode.
Color Range Expansion broadens the range of distinguishable echoes, allowing you to easily identify bottom species from the seafloor. Reefs, structure, and fish near the seafloor are depicted in slightly different colors to make it easier.
While fishing you can view the underwater situation from the stern or bow using a second screen. The second screen can display the FCV-600's echoes and navigation data over a wireless network. Both the FCV-600 and FCV-800 offer this remote viewing capability via wireless LAN. The second display (subdisplay) has the same operating options as the master unit. These wireless capabilities of the FCV-600 and FCV-800 are a great tool for many applications.
These “standalone fish finders” can connect wirelessly to, another matching FCV, an iOS device, with TZ iBoat, or an Android mobile device with NavNet Viewer. A great application.
The FCV-600 fish finder can be combined with most pre-existing transducers, in view of the potential cost and hassle of towing a boat to a site to drill a new hole and repair an existing one. this option is a pleasant addition for many boat owners.
