DFF-3D Module

In just a few passes, you may map the seafloor of your fishing area.

Instead of spending hours collecting PBG records, you can now do it in only a few sweeps. The DFF-3D Module is added together with the PBG Module to your TZ Professional Software. The FURUNO DFF-3D Multi-Beam Sonar can now be connected to your computer and unlock powerful integration features. The DFF-3D Sonar is the first entry-level Multi-Beam Sonar capable of reliably creating PBG up to 200 meters. This data is instantly submitted to TZ Professional, where it is utilized to generate a highly detailed PBG map faster than ever before.

FEATURES 

ACCESS THE MULTI-BEAM TECHNOLOGY

The DFF-3D is a Multi-Beam sonar. It lets you use features like Down Sounder, Port and Starboard Sounder, Real time wide angle A-Scope (Section), Fish Target History (Water Column) and Side Scan Sonar.

The DFF-3D is capable of producing up to 50 depth points per second.

COMBINE DFF-3D WITH TIMEZERO SOFTWARE 

The new Furuno DFF-3D Multi Beam sonar may be connected to the TZ Professional (with the optional PBG and DFF-3D modules). With TZ Professional, creating your bathymetric (PBG) map is faster than before. The sonar continually sends out many beams, delivering quality information for each depth point.

MASTER DFF-3D DATA THANKS TO TZ PROFESSIONAL 

TZ Professional can be setup to display various sonar screens:

• Section: the Section shows real-time conditions beneath the boat in a 120-degree span from port to starboard. This option shows you exactly where fish are detected and lets you visualize the shape of the seafloor underneath your boat.

• Multi-Sounder: the Multi-Sounder works similarly to a standard Sounder (scrolling from left to right), but instead of only one beam (under your boat), the screen displays two extra beams (port and starboard). Because the Multi-Sounder stores a history of prior echoes, it is simple to find fish at a glance.

• Water Column: the Water Column displays a time-based view of the seafloor, alongside fish target icons. This mode shows a historical view of the area underneath your boat. Even if the boat does not move, the image will continue to scroll to display the progression of the water column (including any moving fish) beneath your boat.

• Side Scan: the DFF-3D data is shown in a port and starboard view that scrolls vertically from the top down in Side Scan mode. It is most effective in shallow water in order to identify bottom structures.

Note

• TimeZero can be connected to a NavNet network that includes an MFD (TZtouch/TZtouch2/TZtouch3) and a DFF-3D or TimeZero can be connected directly to a DFF-3D (without any MFD on the network).
• You must have the PBG Module in order to use the DFF-3D Module (see related products for more information).
