The B75M is a bronze "through-hull" CHIRP transducer, ideal for commercial vessels up to 8 m (25 ft) in length. This single-channel transducer offers a mid-frequency CHIRP to balance the high depth penetration of low-frequency CHIRP and the superior target resolution of high-frequency CHIRP. A fixed tilt of 12 degrees compensates for the deadrise angle of the torso from 8 to 15 degrees.

Single Channel CHIRP

CHIRP technology uses pulsed transmissions spanning a wide range of frequencies to provide target resolution and depth penetration that outperform traditional single-frequency sonar. This single channel CHIRP transducer operates anywhere in the range of 80-130 kHz Medium CHIRP, with a beam width of 24-16°. The B75M has an operating depth of up to 450 m (1500 ft).

Depth/Temperature

One sensor does it all. The B75M can measure both depth and temperature, making installation easier and requiring only one connection to a sonar module or multifunction display.

Deadrise compensation
The B75M's fixed 12° tilt is ideal for boats with a hull deadrise of 8° to 15°. A non-tilt (0°) version and a 20° tilt version that can compensate for a deadrise of 16-24° are also available. With ceramic elements tilted into the housing to direct the beam straight down without a fairing block, these transducers can take more accurate depth readings and cover the area directly below a vessel's hull.

The bronze housing makes the B75M suitable for through-hull mounting in fiberglass and wood hulls. When mounted through the hull, the transducer is mounted in the water on the outside of the vessel's hull; a hole has to be drilled in the hull for this. This generally provides the best depth readings and fish finding performance.
